Our Burundi coffee isfrom an Award-Winning Single Plantation (not a blend). It has a delicate flavor with a rich body and acidity. They are also known to have sweet berry tastes floral notes and berry-like aromas. Tasting notes include manderin orange, rich semi-sweet chocolate, caramel and an ultra heavy body with a mildly sweet finish. This coffee is grown at an elevation over 5,700 feet. A very heavy bodied drink with a sweet and bright finish make this a favorite. Beans are of the Bourbon variety. Bourbon is a cultivar of Coffea arabica. It is one of the two main cultivars from which new cultivars are bred, the other being typica. Both originated in Yemen. Bourbon coffee was first produced in Réunion, which was known as Île Bourbon before 1789. Our Burundi Coffee has a long even, deliciously sweet and smooth note.
