Often compared to Kenya coffee (also the Robusta species of coffee), Rwanda coffee is delicate tasting with a pleasant, sweet, caramel-like aroma and hints of citrus such as lemon & orange. Tasting notes include raisins, vanilla, molasses and chocolate. Our Rwandan Coffee is from an Award-Winning single plantation (not a blend). It placed #20 in 2022 with a review of 94 Points! This coffee is grown at an elevation of 3000 to 4000 M in the southern province which includes the eastern edge of the Nyungwe Forest, home to many Chimpanzees. The coffee grown here is Robusta. Our Rwandan Coffee is bold with a smootth finish and has several middle notes. If you have a french press or percolator, choose Medium Coarse Grind to bring out the Music!

Rwanda is a landlocked East African country with a green, mountainous landscape. Its renowned Volcanoes National Park is home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. The park encompasses 4,507m-tall Mt. Karisimbi and 4 other forested volcanoes. In the southwest is Nyungwe National Park, with ancient montane rainforest that's a habitat for chimpanzees and other primates. Rwanda borders Uganda to the north, Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, Burundi to the south and Tanzania to the east.
